The Mobile World Congress 2016 – NEWS!

Once again Barcelona becomes the city for the future of Mobile. The GSMA announced that the Mobile World Congress is to stay in the city as part of the on-going renovation until 2023. Also, the recent GSMA infographic chart highlights new statistics from 2015 showing a carbon neutral congress for two years making it the largest carbon neutral event globally, including 378 tons of recycling. Something to be proud of.

Dates: For this year dates have been confirmed February 22^nd – 25^th 2016 at Fira Barcelona, Gran Via.

The MMIX: the official Media & Entertainment theme at MWC – is back for 2016!

The MMIX gives the inside track on mobile-first consumer-centric strategies, partnership opportunities and disruptive innovation through its comprehensive four-day program of world leading speakers and special events throughout the Congress.

These include keynotes, special focus track sessions and a dedicated MMIX Studio Summit featuring sector specific expert analysis and debate on the phenomenal impact of video, film, TV/Broadcast, music, media and games on the global mobile sector.

In addition, the legendary MMIX Party – the official MWC16 entertainment night – returns with a spectacular party at Pacha Barcelona on the evening of Tuesday 23rd February 2016. See you there!

The exhibition will once again allow attendees to explore specialized exhibition areas including the App Planet exhibition, the GSMA Innovation City, dozens of Country Pavilions and pavilions that focus on Graphene, Green Technology, IoT, Mobile Cloud, NFC & Mobile Money and Wearables. Plus the addition of the MWC Tours which will help you learn more about the industry and find your way around the venue.
