Mobile World Congress 18 is over, so we thought it would be a good idea to go over this year’s highlights.

Exhibitors: more than 2400 including major brands such as Alibaba, BMW, Facebook, Formula 1, Google, Huawei, Nokia, Samsung, Mercedes Benz and Xiaomi among others.

Visitors: More than 107,000 from 205 countries










Female attendance keeps increasing

The percentage of female attendees is going up: 24% of the attendees this year were female, that’s an increase from last years 23%. Also, 28% of conference speakers were female, opposed to 21% in 2017, that’s a big increase.

Introducing the new South Village

The congress took up a space of 120,000 net square metres, including the new South Village, which offered quicker access to the building, entertainment, hospitality suites and more food and beverage options.

At Hall 8.0 we could see the latest on disruptive technologies such as virtual/augmented reality, cognitive computing, artificial intelligence, robotics and much more.
